    Hello !

I just bought a 2nd Generation Ipod Touch that is MD , and I had updated to 3.1.3 , previously it had 2.2.1 . What happened is when I got it , I noticed some things right away , there was a dent on the left hand side next to the screen , and the screen was flickering and showing lines briefly . The inner speaker was working great and everything seemed ok aside from the screen . I took it home , updated from 2.2.1 to 3.1.3 ( I had to restore , and it could not restore to 2.2.1 ) . As soon as I updated to 3.1.3 ( shortly after ) , it does not play a thing ( not even the keyboard sounds ) , it wont start a song , video , anything at all ( even Youtube ) . I found it odd that it started acting up like that , and I wanted to see your opinion regards this . Currently I was trying to restore holding the shift key + restore button in Itunes 9 , with no luck ( error 20 , or another one saying that it is not perscribed to your hardware , although the restore points ARE Ipod touch 2nd generation )

Any help will be appreciated !
    Thank you very much !

There is no MD model number for ANY iDevice.

I restored it to 3.1.12 , but the problem still persists . I think it is software related , but cannot tell what caused it ( I know the internal speaker works , it worked when I bought it ) , but I think the software is convinced no hardware exists for playback , it just pauses everything immediately ( as soon as you push play ) , which applies for everything ( keyboard sounds , lock sounds etc .. ) .
