Ok, so recently I purchesed the Ipod Touch 32 GB 2nd Generation from the Apple Store. When I opened the box, included was the cleaning cloth, USB charging firewire, and some kind of plastic white indented thing with a gray tab with 16 on it. I have no clue what it is for. I thought it could be related to the firewire, but it doesn't fit inside. If someone could help me out here, I'd appreciate it!

It's a dock adapter for your iPod. That way it fits correctly in say a speaker system or whatever that is compatible for iPod's.

    Thanks!

thanks for the help. Even though there's absolutly nothing for me to use it with because my speakers connect through the headphone port.

If you purchase an iPod dock, you can use the dock connector with it.

Ex: I have a Memorex clock radio with a built in iPod dock.

No but technically you could make one. It's not hard, but I don't think the performance would be affected very much.

maybe you should think any new ipod including the second generation touch don't come with firewire cables
