I've searched through the previous threads, nothing really helped.

I was randomly playing Mafia Wars and the sound suddenly stopped.
From there on out, no sound would emit from my iPod Touch, no songs, no nothing..

I let it sit for awhile, and I unlocked it and heard a *click*. (You know that sound you hear when you unlock it). But after that, the sound stopped working.

I let it sit again for awhile, I unlocked it, heard the click, quickly played a song, and it played for literally half a second and just stopped.

So I tried restoring it via iTunes, nothing, still no sound.
I rejailbroke it and put all my songs/apps on before I went to bed.

This morning my iPod was working fine, So I used it while I walked from class to class, when I got home, it suddenly just stopped working again. Basically the same problem as before, I can hear the unlock click, then the speakers stop working.

I tried a hard reboot (home + power), Restoring it via iTunes, plugging + replugging earphones, all fail.

    Any help would be nice!

    Thanks-
    Brandon.

Sounds like a hardware problem (no pun intended). If your warranty is still valid, you could get it replaced for free by Apple.

Would I just go to an apple story and talk to them?

Indeed it sounds like a hardware problem. I think the iPod recognizes a headphone jack even when there's no headphone jack in.

At least one other, similar, case has happen in the last 2 weeks. Is it still under warranty ? Yeah, restore it once more (if it's jailbroken) and go to your local Apple store to have it checked out. They may be able to give you more details. They may even replace it but don't count on it. I hear they usually restore, see that it's working fine and give it back to you.

I'll try bringing it to them tomorrow.
Do I have to make an appointment or can I just go and ask one of the workers?

You're not going to the dentist here... Go to them. Just do it.

Sorry, cause when I was checking my warranty, it said something about making an appointment.
