I'm not sure if this is a good place to post it, but I thought I'd try. I apologize if it is not.

I just recently upgraded to a 2nd gen ipod touch after my 1st gen died. I've been using an Alpine M-bus to iPod cable in my car to play, and it worked great with my 1st gen. However, it wasn't working with my new one and so I bought the Scosche Passport. It now charges my iPod, but it is still only playing music through the built-in speakers. How do I get it to play through the stereo?

    Thanks a lot.

Some adapters/connectors do not work with the 2nd gen, but work fine with the 1st. I think that this is because Apple left out the Firewire support with the 2nd generation.

Ugh, so I'm going to have to buy a new cable? If that's the case I'll probably just go ahead and buy a whole new head unit with a direct USB input.
