Hello and thank you in advance for reading this and helping me. A while ago I jailbroke my iPod with GreenP0is0n and it got really slow so while I was at school I decided to reset all media and settings or do a factory restore and then just left it in my pocket figuring it would be done after class. During break my friend said he knew how to speed up the process so he restarted my iPod (hard shut down pressing and holding the power and home button for at least 10 secs) and when he booted it back up it did its usual of showing the apple logo then flipping to the green poison one but when it was loading it froze and stayed. No matter how many times I've restarted it it just stays there. ive also tried plugging it into my computer only to not be recognized by iTunes, my computer, disk-aid... ect. To combat this ive tried dfu mode (of which im a master at getting into) but my ipod wont even enter dfu. I have also tried the trick of holding the power button for 10 secs in iTunes to get it recognized to no avail. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Try holding the home button while plugging it in to your USB with iTunes open.

Sent with my brain using telekinesis.

Nope still got nothing, thanks though, I believe the problem may be that my iPod was in the middle of writing boot-up files when it was shut down and there fore encounters an error during boot up. Is there any way that i can get it recognized to my computer again at least so I can copy and paste the files on manually using disk-aid?

Hold both the sleep and home buttons FOREVER, and if after forever is over the screen still stays on, hardware problem.

Hold home and power button until you hear a chime then let go off the power button until the second chime and restore.

You need to put it into Recovery Mode.Whenever your iPod/iPhone is put into Recovery mode and plugged into your computer with iTunes it will recognize it.You should get a iTunes logo when you reach this mode.

I forget the sequence to enter to it but you can google it on how to do that. Its different from DFU mode which may be another alternative you may need to look into.
