Its NOT full at all it should be just over half!

It was (like 20 mins ago) 200mb other (which is correct)

How can i fix this without having to restore it?

It also shows this in settings on my ipod

Use iPhone Browser / SSH to check if you have some mysterious files that weigh a lot.
Maybe someone somehow managed to hack your iPod and fill it up with sh*t.
    Good luck.

It's doubled all your stuff, to get rid of 'other' you have to ssh into your iPod then in the folder /private/var/mobile/media you should have folders in there called 'itunes_control' and 'itunes_control(1)' just delete one of these folders.
This worked for me for this problem
Let me know if it works

When it happened to me, it seemed it doubled all my music as other and when trying to listen to it said I had no music, then I re-synced and had all my music and other just like you.

look in your ipods media library, are your songs listed twice?

Media Monkey rocks for syncing just music!

:/ hmm, different to the problem I had then.

Just check around in the iTunes and backup folded and look for any other weirdly large folders and stuff, also look in the. /var/mobile/library folder
