Okay, so on April 1st, I had my 16GB iPod Touch 2g replaced for the second time from Apple. This time I noticed a few differences. First off, I noticed that there is no noticeable crease around the home button (as in you can't feel the edges at all), which is an improvement over my previous two models.

Secondly I noticed that the screen leaves much fewer fingerprints... has the screen been upgraded with the iPhone 3gs' fingerprint resistance?

Lastly, I noticed that the whole system was running much smoother than the models before this replacement. This sparked an idea that it may be an upgraded model. To test this theory, I downloaded the free version of Asphalt 4, which I knew to have a somewhat dissapointing framerate on my previous models. And guess what? It ran smoothly! Now I haven't seen any 3gs effects such as motion blur, but i have noticed the performance increase.

So has the iPod Touch 2G 16GB been upgraded secretly?
