I searched the forum to see if a similar topic had been posted, but I came up dry (that's what she said). But I was hoping to pool the wisdom from this forum to see what kind of shortcuts the ipod touch 2g had that i was unaware of (i.e. button combinations that achieve a certain function). i'll contribute what i have found out so far, though it may be old news....

Screen Shot - Press the on/off button and the home button simultaneously and release; you should hear a camera shutter sound and see a white flash. the picture is then stored in your photo album.

Music Player Shortcut - Double tap the home button to bring up a mini player: this is accessible whenever you're out of the music player and browsing safari, playing a game, etc.

The SUPER OFF - I don't know what this is about, but if you hold down the on/off button long enough, a red slider will appear and dare you to "Slide to Power Off." I have heard from a trustworthy source that this initiates a self-destruct sequence. That's why the slider is red. Red for Bad Ass.

No, you have a faulty iPod then. On mine the entire ipod starts to heat up, and then bursts into flames..

But after I restore (which is a pain in the @ss) everythings back to normal

and like he said. Red means Bad Ass. always

How are these secret tricks? Music Shortcut and hold to power off have been around the entire time. The Screenshot shortcut was included in the 2.0 firmware update.
