iPod Touch 2g- Safe to update to firmware 2.2? In terms of jailbreak?

    Should i update to firmware 2.2 or not???? i want to update, but i'm afraid that if a jailbreak comes out, i won't be able to jailbreak my ipod because of firmware problems..... will i be able to downgrade if i update to 2.2???Thanks!

    You can upgrade and downgrade to any version you please, the s5l doesn't really care.
    Any jailbreak rely on a hardware exploit anyways, since modifications need to made to low-level files such as the kernel and any program run at iPhone OS level needs to be codesigned, meaning that all software exploits are now useless.

    Yeah, there's no problem with updating your 2G iPod touch to Firmware 2.2.

    This won't affect your ability to jailbreak in the future.

    dude, there is no jailbreak, no need to worry about updating
