iPod Touch 2G: Redsn0w v0.1 issue? did it work?

    Hey, i tried Redsn0w v0.1 on my Mac computer and this is what i got:

    on the screen it said "dowloading jailbreak data..." while it was doing this, then on the last line, it took about 6 minutes to reboot: nothing happened.


    i was jailbreaking a iPod touch 2G on firmware 3.0 2nd beta.



    why is this?

    because you cant jailbreak 3.0 with redsn0w.

    what was the point in releasing this then ? haha.

    we have MANY tools such as RedTool and QuickFreedom to jailbreak ipod touch 2g?


    waste of time.

    well this doesnt require you to restore using itunes so no errors, it jailbreaks the firmware that is already on the ipod

    dude if we get the ivs for the 3.0 quickpwn jailbreak then maybe we can mix up the quickpwns the one for the 2g 2.2.1!!! so then we can jailbreak 3.0

    Because forcing Vista users to install libusb (and suffering BSODs and possibly having to disable signature checking) is absolutely unacceptable in a production application. Because it's nice when people have tools that are easier to use.

    Plus, why do you need to jailbreak 3.0? It's in beta. Waste of time, IMO.
