Hi my ipod touch is roughly 2 years old and only recently have i been having problems with it. First the touch screen stops responding frequently restoring the ipod seems to work for a while then the touch screen just becomes non responsive again. Also I cannot access the wifi menu as it is grayed out and says "No wifi"

What can I do to fix it or will i have to send it away?

If the screen works for a while after restoring thats wierd, but if the wi fi isnt working it must be f***ed. Unless you got like a three year warranty on it, apple will do nothing for you. You might have to buy a new one.

You should buy a new ipod touch 4th gen. The wifi problem can be fixed by I think restoring but I forget. It's somewhere on the forums it happened to me on my iPod touch 2nd gen a while ago.

Since you are doing a regular restore, try a DFU.
