so any way i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g today, and i was playing nes games. so i went home>setting>reset>reset all settings to use my friends email for some thin. then after i did reset all settings the ipod touch turned off and i couldn't turn it back on. so i was jw if u guys had a nice, easy, simple way for me to get back on my ipod, having the computer recognizing it, and having my ipod still jailbreaked and all of my stuff didn't disappear. Thanks.

why did you reset all settings just so you could use your friends email? There was no need for you to do that

Why would you erase all settings to go on an email...?
And you should just be able to turn it back on...

well, to check an email, go to Settings > Mail > Add Account. or just use Safari.
I think what you meant was to erase the history if you were using Safari to check the emails.
