Ok I have a 2g Ipod touch I recently used QuickFreedom to jailbreak it.
after the jailbreak I updated cydia and installed mobile installation patch nothing else.
and installed all of my appstore apps and music. for about the first day the device worked flawlessly. It wasn't until the next day when I noticed that the device would not wake up after pressing the power/sleep button. after restarting the device, it would come to only to crash during songs or when it's just idle . I have restored the firmware several times only to deal with the same issue I am not sure what to do about it.

also another thing that I have noticed is that during the day when it crashes on me it would drain the battery as well. I looked around to try and find out if everyone has had the same problem but to no avail

any links or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thx

Use RedTool and flash the NOR. you won't lose anything! with redTool's NOR, you won't have that slow wakeup problem. Worked for me. I had to wait like 10+ seconds for my ipod to turn on (from sleep mode)

I used QuickFreedom and didnt noticed anything with it changing my ipod, but now that I think about it it has an ever so slower start from sleep mode. Its not too obvious but if you do it a couple times you begin to notice. I've never used RedTool but from what I hear it is as decent if not better

Use redTool and NOR Flash. It will help this, or atleast it should.

I've never personally had the problem that you are talking about.
