look, i really hate using the term "bricked" , but it just it.

i found my old ipod 2g in the drawer , at that state it was 3.0,jailbroken (i think it was redsn0w) its about 2-3 years old, so its defenitly not MC.

i decided i want to update it to 4.0.2 with this jailbreak i found (snowbreeze) , so i updated to 4.0.2 without any jailbreaking or messing around , just opened itunes and pressed update, this is where it went to hell,

it finished updating , i looked at my ipod and it was with the connect to itunes icon on the screen, (usb > itunes) it didnt even boot.
i tried restoring to 4.0.2 again, and once it finishes it IMMIDIATLY went to recovery mode, it didnt even boot.

then i tried installing 4.0 then blackra1n, didnt work,
i tried ireb 2.2 shsh to downgrade to 3.0, it did downgrade , but the ipod just appeared in recovery mode without booting,
itunes isnt giving me any wierd errors and wont let me restore, it lets me restore, and the moment it finishes "itunes found an ipod in recovery mode"
and the connect to itunes screen is on the ipod

i tried plenty of more jailbreaks and restores , nothing, tried irecovery with the auto boot thingy, nothing,
i tried recovery mode loop fix, nothing.
    any ideas?

(sorry about it being so long XD)

EDIT: yes i have the newest itunes
i tried recboot, it just went back into recovery mode .

    1. Don't use sn0wbreeze. If it is indeed a mb model then use redsn0w.
    2. blackra1n only supports 3.1.x
And btw usually when your ipod/iphone is done updating it will go to the connect itunes screen then you have to connect it to itunes.
    3. Try rerestoring to 4.0.2 and make sure that you have iTunes 9.2 or later or else you can't use your ipod
