I just jailbroke my iPod Touch 2g using greenp0ison. Does anyone know how to get multitasking working? On my friends iPhone you just double click the home button. I noticed that I have an extra area in settings->general named "Home Button". My friends iPhone does not have the area "Home Button" in his settings->general. In there it says "Double-click the Home Button for:

    Home
    Search
    iPod

You have to choose one of those options. I believe that is why I am unable to double click home so the multitasking bar comes up on the bottom?

You do realize the iPod touch 2G doesn't get native multitasking?
You can enable it by downloading the application "ztoggle", it can enable multitasking and homescreen wallpaper for the older models.

I would recommend ipt2g enable multitasking, available on the planet iPhone repo (the repo should already be installed). Homescreen wallpapers send me into a crash cycle, it is not fun.

I actually have homescreen wallpapers enabled on my 2g... And I haven't had a problem with them.

When you jailbreak you do not instantly get multitasking.

You have to enable it yourself.

I would download it off Cydia, you might mess something up if you do it manually.

Re-JB with redsn0w 0.9.6. You can toggle multitasking, wallpapers, battery percentage as well as verbose boot and custom boot/recovery logos.

Ztoggle is either winterboard or substrate based. Takes up some extra cpu and ram, therefore slowing down your iPod and lowering it's battery life. Very slightly, anyways. It's best to manually edit a .plist.

    Not a good idea.
But you can enable homescreen wallpapers from the same .plist. Read below.

This is the best way to do it. No additional programs needed.

RedSn0w will also do it for you, and its outside the reach of human error if you are scared of effin it up.
