Does the Macally iVoiceIII work with ipod 2g? and i am very suprised my psp headset did not work with my itouch 2g, ill try again though. Edit- it did. but very low volume...
Not all iphone headsets work I got a pair of SkullCandy FMJ for IPhone and the microphone does not work with the iPod Touch 2g. In fact, having it plugged in causes my iPod to hiccup and stall at points. Not sure what's going on but I'd be careful what headset I sink my money into. I'm pretty upset here. And it has a 4-point jack on it so I don't know what the problem could be. The headset works with my nokia phone's headset adapter. I don't see why it wouldn't work with the iPod.
I defy anyone to put a 1/4 inch jack of ANY kind into ANY ipod...... There are 3 sizes: * 6.35mm or 1/4" jack * 3.5mm miniature jack (which the touch/iphone have) * 2.5mm subminiature jack A 1/4 inch would split your touch/iphone in two!
Lol didn't you just answer your question? I see no reason why that wouldn't work. Is there a 3.5mm one? Has anyone tried this/would it work?
I recently picked up one of these: http://www.usbfever.com/index_eproduct_view.php?products_id=662 Great little mic for the touch! And cheap! I was using a Monster iSoniTalk which worked fine, but I like the smaller form factor of the usbfever mic.
Note: Try Touchmics (google) they have good mics you can plug into your dock port and they supposidly work really well. Theyre a tad expensive at $34 for a cheap dock ported one but I am definatley going to try to get it and review it.
I wonder if they make a 3.5 mm connector with just ring 3 and sleeve. That would fix the problem according to this.
I dont understand why all mic/headset's wouldn't work, because the plugs are standardized? there are a ton on ebay for less than $5, for example, there are apple brand ones and knockoffs will these work with the 2g???
