I have an iPod Touch second generation, 2.2.1. When I try to put it into DFU mode, it just doesn't work at all, I follow the DFU instructions that are on Quick Freedom, but nothing happens at all. I've tried to put it into DFU so many times and it just doesn't work. Can you put it into DFU using 2.2.1? I would be really grateful if you could help me.

yo you got to have your hooked up to the cpu then turn it off .... then press and hold the hold and home button for about ten seconds or until your computer makes that sound then you let go off the hold button while still holding the home button then after computer makes another noise in about 5 to 20 seconds let go then its official in dfu mode

What does it mean when my ipod screen has a USB lead with an up arrow to iTunes mean? Is that in restore mode or DFU?

Hey MurphyMfc, you must know better than to make a duplicate account. I'm guessing you will be silenced soon enough.
