Basically,I downloaded some apps from cydia a couple days ago, then my iPod crashed after it finished installing and started to boot back up. Fist the apple logo was dim, then it got really bright, then the screen just flashed white for a nano second and it starts all over again and it did this for almost 6 hours straight. So then I went to restore it (held home button while plugging in) and it didn't work, error 9 I think.

So I restarted my computer, still didn't work, reinstall iTunes, didn't help. So I tried dfu but that just starts restoring and then when it restarts it does the same thing and reboots back into recovery mode. I'm lost.

    I am on 3.1.2 jailbroken via blackra1n.

It worked all I had to do was dfu then shift restore to 2.2.1 no other firmware worked. For some reason normal restore didn't work either in dfu or not.
