Search DFU, put in DFU and restore

Here are the steps to fix your iPod.

    1. Have iTunes open.
    2. Have iPod plugged in.
    3. Hold both home and power buttons for 10 seconds.
    4. Release power button, still holding down home button. Wait 10 seconds.
    5. iTunes will recognize your iPod.
    6. Restore to original firmware. (Shift + click on Restore button)

If iTunes still never picks it up, try again.
