    I am getting a looking to get a new pair of headphones and I was wondering what size (in mm) the iPod Touch 2G headphone jack is...

    I didnt want to spend £50 on a pair of Skullcandy TI's to find the cable is too big/small for the headphone jack

    3.5mm is the standard on all mp3 players i know of, including all ipods

    3.5mm is standard, but that is the the width, some cables are extra deep (camcorder AV cables), but all headphones will wont, dont worry

    its not recessed like the old EDGE iPhone

    A lot of headphones come with adapters that will fit into a 3.5mm jack. ex. Sennheiser HD555

    Yeah. It's 3.5mm
    3.5mm = 1/8"
    6.3mm = 1/4"
