Hi, i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g with redsnow on a mac computer, the firmware version was 4.0 on the touch. The problem is i ran the battery down and now cannot reboot the device! The ipod touch 2g does not turn on or respond to anything it is just a blank screen. I have attempted to put the device into dfu mode on 3 different computers (mac, vista,xp) however the device is not recognised at all, theres no error message as every youtube video shows. I have tried installing libusb, 1clickboot, irecovery etc.................

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try re-running your jailbreak software with your ipod still connected. That happened to me once and that's how I fixed it. Don't know if it will help you though. Just an idea

Just try plugging it into a wall power outlet and let it charge.

Or you could try to put it in DFU mode without software

I have tried this on numerous occasions if its that your referring to hold home and power 10 secs and then release power etc... tried that for days. I am reasonably sure now that it wont go into dfu mode.
