Hi, i have a iPod touch 2G, and i use it normally, im not rough with it. For some reason though, i notice that i have a few tiny specs of lint/dust under the bottom of the screen. Is this problem covered by my warranty? I have had it for 3 months. I notice it when im using my ipod in the light without the backlight on. They are all at the bottom so i assume the dust is getting in from the dock connector!

    Help?

was it like that when you bought it, if it just happened, it's not covered by your warranty, since it covers against manufacturers defects, not you mistakes.

yeah I have the same thing on my screen. and my friend has 2 huge spots, very noticeable. I would think its cover under the warranty since there's no way to get things under the screen without taking it apart

It's not covered by warranty if it's isn't the manufacturers fault, you can argue that it should have been sealed better, but you will most likely be rejected.

Calling Apple wouldn't hurt. Make sure you restore back to 2.2.1 original firmware before bringing it back though.
