I just heard that if you drop the ipod to the water, doenst matter if is working alright after that ... because after 1 year and a half or two years the ipod will be broken because the metal parts inside rust, this is true?

i mean if you drop and ipod to the water and its working perfectly.. but in the furute the ipod will die.

    Rice apparently helps..
Your panic to write the paragraph has done us no favours to understand it.

Actually, if you overload the iPod with water so it becomes saturated, the chemical reaction will prevent rust. However, tap water or water from the fridge door will only work, as rain water, as you see in rusted things outside, has a slightly different chemical composition that causes rust no matter what. So, just put more TAP water in and the iPod should work for as long as you take care of it.

    Wow.

    Basically what he meant was...

If you used Tap Water. You are screwed.

But if you use Bottled Water. Your safe.

    But memo to yourself.

Don't add more water to it.

Just put it in rice for a couple of days. If you already tried turning it on. Well ur pretty much screwed. But if you haven't do it and make sure the headphone side is pointing down.

The Rice will absorb all moisture.

Oh yeah. Make sure the rice is NOT COOKED.

LOL watch him cook the rice.
