    Hi everyone

I've seen the ibluetooth app for the iphone and have searched everywhere trying to find out wether or not the ipod touch 2g actually has the full bluetooth hardware, no luck at all. Because direct file sharing would be awesome.

But I was thinking, would it be possible to somehow code an app that could let the actual ipod touch/iphone's wifi create an ad-hoc network, like a laptop can, so another device could connect to it directly via wifi and transfer files?

Is the ipod touch/iphone wifi hardware capable of creating ad-hoc networks?

    Thanks

As far as I know, theres no support for Adhoc networking for the iPhone OS... SSH is the closest alternative, though that really doesnt help much in this situation :/

Since Apple is super cool, they didn't give us the infrared sensors like on the PSP or DS and they don't allow AD-HOC so yeah.

if apple would not have put the nike+ sensor in the 2G there would be no Bluetooth on it (in development)
