Alright, so it's been almost a week since I jailbroke my iPod Touch 2G (non-MC model), with the redsn0w beta.
I have recently been starting to experience constant crashes. I am thinking this is related to the Multi-Tasking feature, that I chose to include in the Jailbreak.
After I have around 5 apps open, it crashes.

So, is this because this was done with a BETA redsnow, or just because an iPod simply doesn't have the capacity to Multi-Task?

And is the only solution available currently to keep closing apps after I open them, one by one?
In the future, will a better and more stable jailbreak be released?

    Thanks

What do you have installed from Cydia? Is GPower one of them?

I already have all that set up, plus SSH. Should I redo everything?

No, basically all I have are the following packages:
    -Winterboard
    -Terminal
    -SBSettings
    -coughyouknowwhatcough
-Glasklart (theme), and an SBSettings theme

Remove the name of the fourth app or you may find yourself reported very quickly. Try deleting terminal.

I just have terminal for like, say something happens and I need to type a command. Idk, someone told me to get it when I first jailbroke, like, about a year and a half ago.

Terminal doesn't slow anything down. Try using an alternative multitasking program from Cydia. Disable Apple's multitasking and grab Backgrounder along with Kirikae, Circuitous, ProSwitcher, or Multifl0w. Not sure about the compatibility except I know Backgrounder works.
EDIT: Everything but Backgrounder doesn't work.

How would I go about disabling Multi-Tasking?

I know it doesn't slow anything down, but I have heard that it is incompatible with 4.0 and causes it to crash.
