Mhm.. okay. Totally uncool I didn't figure this out myself, and have to ask the forum for help.

~One month ago I happily jailbreaked my iPod Touch 2G running 3.1.2, I installed Cydia.
Now I came to the conclusion I wanted Cydia too, so I backed up my music and did a factory reset to 3.1.2.

Downloaded and ran BlackRa1n again, but it doesn't seem to be working anymore for me, which is pretty lame.

Gets stuck at a black screen ~5 seconds after hitting the 'make it ra1n' button, which is then telling me 'done, wait for reboot'. I, who has experienced the Blackra1n jailbreak before, know that this shouldn't happen.

I've come to collect some advice here, if you have any suggestions, please leave a comment

You had Cydia, why would you want it again? Did you mean Rock? If so you didn't need to restore you could of opened the Blackra1n app and installed Rock.

Anyway restore and set up as a NEW iPod, not from back-up. See what that does.

if you followed the instructions PROPERLY you shouldn't fail. i remember having problems with blackra1n aswell. just don't give up. try this. restore ipod touch. remove from computer. turn ipod touch off. restart computer then plug ipod back in. follow the instructions http://www.iclarified.com/entry/comments.php?enid=5527 and hoepfully it will work
