Okay, instead of typing it all out, i put a youtube video up.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOWW8DD264Y

things i forgot to mention in the video:

    -jailbroken, obviously

-i also have a pc, but id much rather use my mac

basically, all apps that are on my home screen that you can not just delete by holding the icon and tapping the "x" are not visible, but they are still in the iPod.

i want to easily take all data off of it, not just apps, and put it back on after a restore/rejailbreak. (i do not trust just highlighting everything and moving it to my computer)

also, right before this happened, from my computer using the netatalk bonjour package, it said my iPod was nearly full. i knew this couldnt be true, since i have about 10 user-installed apps on it, and not that much music. so, i checked it from the settings app. it said that the ipod wasnt nearly full, so i rebooted it and this happened.

respringing into safe mode does not help. any help appreciated, thanks ahead of time

Do you have OpenSSH installed? Get a buddy with a PC to use WinSCP to edit the permissions if so.
