I'm having a hard choice atm! ...i live in Australia and the prices for the ipods are

    8GB: $AU 329
    16GB $AU 419

My music collection is roughly 5GB at the moment, and I still do buy songs every now and then... I would like to add a movie just to watch when I'm out or somethin.

I want a crapload of apps on the touch lol, ummm maybe some podcasts, pictures etc. And yeah im also eagerly waiting for the 2G jail break. Its a hard choice! ... cause the 16gb is so friggern expensive...

    thanks for the help guys

I hate my 8GB touch, and love my 16GB iPhone and touch.

bigger is always better usually. you can never have too much space.

I've had my 8 gig a year now, got about 6 gig of songs on it and the other 2 is taken up with movie clips and apps. So for me another 8 gig would be peachy, i could think of atleast another 8 gig's worth of sh*te to throw at it.

With that much music, go 16g. If you have the cash, why not?

I've got a 32gb because I just personally couldn't be ever happy knowing there was something "above" mine and would toss and turn in bed and lose to much sleep.

Ok with that little bit of psychosis out of the way........in all honesty with how simple it is to sync your iPod with iTunes (and your going to be plugging it everyday anyway) an 8gb would be pretty easy to live with. Some movies and THOUSANDS of songs and your literally minutes from changing everything and resyncing.

Go with the 16 GB, you wouldn't experience AS MUCH buyer's remorse.

just kinda worried about the NEXT gen ipod touch. I dont wanna blow a crapload of money, knowing the "3G ipod touch" will come out soon, and imo, the next update to the touch will probably be a big one since, the 2G had only small updates.

Oh, and ill be REALLY disappointed if later down the track, dev teams fail at jailbreaking the touch and just give up on it...

Well, if that's the case, don't worry so much. I'm getting a 2G whenever possible. You'll always be waiting for the best of the best, and you'll end up never getting it.
