    I just purchased and installed 3.0 to my 2G iPod touch and I noticed a few bugs with it. First off, when it boots, the Apple logo comes on like normal but then it disappears. Then the unlock screen comes up. To me, this seems a little choppy and its sort of a nuisance. I'm used to the slow ride to the homescreen.
    Next is YouTube. I was watching a video and for some reason I could not bring up the controls when I tapped on the screen. I could adjust the zoom by double tapping but I could not bring up the controls.

    Has anyone else had these problems? I restored and now I'm restoring from backup in hopes that it will work. Let me know if anyone else has had these or similar problems.

    Yep.
    Like the cool little fade we had when we hit the sleep button that they took away from us.
    -_-;
    I swear I'mma dig in the 2.2.1 IPSW just for that.
    Anway, I had the Youtube problem too. >_>;
    W/e.
    We can't complain yet. Only been out for a day.

    Ahaha I wish they had something like the developers betas, like a group of people randomly selected from registered iTunes accounts (for iPod touch, iPod touch 2G, iPhone, and iPhone 3G) to test the new firmware.
    That way people other than the developers can test it all out and report bugs.

    The only problem I've had was the laggy boot screen you mentioned, other than that everything is fine.

    As a matter of fact Apple does have such a secondary beta testing program and you and everyone else who has bought 3.0 are now in it

    Main thing is the boot. I loved that Apple Logo to Icon Transition...

    Ahahah very true, good point there haha.

    But I think they should have a secondary beta program before the official release. And have it be free

    Same here too

    My iPod touch 16GB 2G lags really bad when shutting down with music not paused before doing so. also, i have the same problems as andrew! mentioned too. I also Agree that apple should give us the wake fade effect back, now it looks like my iPod has a screen problem when waking up
