Ok so i jailbroke my ipod 2g to use 4.0 software. Everything was fine until i tried to upgrade to 4.0.2 (knowing well enough it would lose my jailbreak) and it stalled. So i unplugged my ipod and restarted my computer. I had to click on restore because my ipod was stuck at the "plug into itunes screen". Every time i try and restore, it stops at 90% on restore mode. Ive left my computer on and running as it was restoring for 9 hours last night and still the same when i returned. Ive tried different .ipsw but i cant seem to get this right.... plz help

Try a DFU restore. Hold your power and home button for about 8 seconds, then release the power button while still holding home. If it worked correctly, your iPod will appear to be off but iTunes will recognize your device and say it's in recovery mode.

Its not that itunes wont recognize my ipod in recovery mode, because it does. Its the problem of getting to the last 10% of the recovery thats the problem. It basically stops. And ive left it for almost 9 hours without the status bar moving even the slightest

Maybe reinstall iTunes or try another computer?

If you had wifi sync installed, that might have messed with the restore process
