    2. On the 2g is the wifi better as in receiving the signal or are they about the sa e?
    3. What if i donwdgraded a 2g to 2.0 firmware will that jailbreak or fail becaise of the new hardware crap thats inside?

    1. 2g.
    2. About the Same.
    3. It will fail (yes because of hardware)

Get the 2nd gen. It'll be jailbroken soon enough.

Dont even think about it, the speaker is really sh*tty, good for applications horrible for "casual listeneing"

Who told you it was slower? Actual specs are not listed anywhere on the internet as far as I can tell, and several members have suggested that it would have to be underclocked to the same 412mhz as the 1g.

Even if it is a slower processor, if they're both clocked at the same speed, the slower processor would be more power saving.
