Boot into dfu and restore the custom firmware you made. (if you are trying to jailbreak the 2g).

    DFU Mode:
    Plug in to computer
Hold down home button for 5 seconds
Hold Down home and power for 10 seconds
Release Power hold home for 30 seconds
Will get recognized my computer, unless you have mac 10.5.6 then id search around for the DFU fix or get a pc

(PS Your screen does not turn on in DFU)

My desktop's itunes wouldn't recognize my touch either, so I switched to my lappie and it worked. Have you tried switching computers? Might as well give it a shot if you have another computer around.

y bother jailbreaking 2.2.1? theirs really no minor changes besides a few bugs probably. not worth jailbreaking, wait for a bigger version like 3.0 or somethin
