    Hey, everybody!

I'm sorry that i probably put this in the wrong spot, but none of the other spots made sense for this.

I'm trying to jailbreak my ipod touch, and When i succesfully complete the jailbreak,(I follow all commands, and i let it restart fine) My ipod starts back up and works fine, however shows no evidence of a jailbreak. (no cydia, no installer)

So, am i supposed do something else, besides only running a jailbreak Program?

    My stuff is:

PC: Windows Vista, (32-bit if it matters)

Ipod: Touch, first Gen., Firmware 2.1, all legit, no jailbreaking history. (or knowlage)

Jailbreak software: Quickpwn RC3 Version 2

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to say, thanks in advance

Um... did you check the 'Install Cydia' or 'Install Installer' options when jailbreaking? Do you see a brown icon for Cydia? Also, it looks like you used Morphey's QuickPWN which is known to have issues (you may not see Cydia or Installer due to their use of the wrong MobileInstallation file). I'd suggest restoring the iPod and downloading the CORRECT, official QuickPwn from blog.iphone-dev.org - after you jailbreak with this one, you should have a Cydia icon on the SpringBoard.

That's why I told him to use the Official QuickPwn from blog.iphone-dev.org - Morphey's MobileInstallation file is known to cause issues with apps not showing up on the springboard.

Its an iPOD touch. not an iTouch - which is some old thing from the 90s i think.

If you use QuickPwn your music will not get erased. If you do it right. If you mess up/don't follow instructions then you're probably have to restore and start again. I suggest if you're new to this at least SEARCH first or read all the tutes available before actually jailbreaking.
