I have a first gen ipod touch that got wet and it still works fine except for the light doesnt work. You can still select stuff and see the screen if you put it under a lamp or are outside. I know a guy that said he would fix it and I just needed to order a digitizer. Does this sound right? Wouldn't I need a new LCD?

    Thanks

Ya I was pretty convinced that the digitizer does not produce the light. Can anyone tell me was part of the ipod produces back light.

You wanna ebay an lcd screen mate, then find a youtube video on how to install/replace it.
