When i unplug the ipod from the computer, where the battery is on the ipod looks like its always charging even when its not plugged in. Also my songs sometime stop..then i have to press play.
Should i wait a couple days?

wont the rice get stuck in the ipod?

Yea you should, power down your iPod as quickly as you can and place in a bowl of rice to suck out the moisutre. Wait 2-3 days, it should be OK after that.

BTW: My brother threw my iPod touch down an entire flight of stairs (that's right 13 steps) and landed on ceramic tiles, I only got a dent on the corner.

    Hope yours gets better.

dude ur so lucking it still works after falling in a puddle lol.

But u did the wrong thing, if you ever drop your ipod in water, place it in a bowl of dry rice WITHOUT TURNING IT ON BERFORE. leave overnight, the rice actually will absorb the water

    -_-

Ok. This comes up daily, and people always have the same issue.

You dropped your iPod in water. Yeah. That's why it's f***ed up. It doesn't matter what it's doing - sparking, skipping songs, or blowing fire. If it didn't do whatever it is before you dropped it in a puddle/the toilet/loch ness, odds are that the issue is caused by it getting waterlogged.

    SOLUTION?

Follow the normal water damage fix. Turn it off, put it in some rice, wait a day or two. If that doesn't work, do the q-tip trick in the headphone jack to reset the paper tab.

I thought that went without saying, but apparently there really are people out there that are that stupid.

This forum desperately needs a facepalm smiley.

Its saying its charging because the pin connectors in iPod are being joined by droplets of water which makes your iPod think its being charged. But yeah, turn your iPod off now and put it in the middle of a boal of rice for a day or two.

Oh wait before you do that, keep your iPod completely off and then rinse it through with distilled clean water from your local pharmacy so it washes out the other dirty water which will rust your iPod and dissolve the circuits inside.

i think mine was worse, I showered with my iPod... lol, I actually stood still for at least 5 seconds until i picked it up and got out and try to dry it asap... I let it sit in the rice for about 14 hrs... and it works, everything. nothing bad..

    so good luck man
