    Hey guys,

I have a question for you all.... i currently have a working 1st gen 8gb ipod touch, i also have a 1st gen 16gb ipod touch that isn't working but the harddrive is fine

My question is, is it possible to replace the 8gb hdd in the working ipod with the 16gb?

first off its not a HDD(Hard Drive Disk), its a flash chip like on a thumb drive and I am pretty sure that its soldered on the motherboard so not really.

i thought they were SSD's? (solid state drives) pretty much on the 16gb ipod, the circuit board at the bottom needs replacing which is why i thought i could swap the drives around?
