    [Windows] iPod Touch 1G v2.2.1 5H11 Jailbreak

ok, both versions are out. The Windows version got delayed since the Dev Team messed up on 2.2.5. So as of right now, don't download any unofficial links. They're all the older version. The official *******s for Windows has the valid version. I uploaded the original file onto [PIRACY.mu]. you can download that one if you wish.(the first version of 2.2.5 couldn't detect the .ipsw for 2.2.1 firmware)

    Code:
    Only Links as of 1/30/09
    *******: http://*******s.[PIRACY.tb].org/4689995/QuickPwn-225-2.zip.4689995.TPB.*******

    Instructions
There is no difference in the instructions from 2.2.0 firmware jailbreak. Be sure to have downloaded the firmware and updated your ipod before jailbreaking it.

    Step One:
Download the application. If you use the ******* file, you'll have to use a *******ing program (bit*******, u*******, limewire, etc). I provided a [PIRACY.mu] link of the original zip file. you can use can also use that

    Step Two:
Unzip and start QuickPwn.exe. Easy enough, correct?

    Step Three:
Press the arrow key on the bottom right corner. The next screen gives you the option of finding your ipsw file to use to jailbreak. Remember, this file has to be 2.2.1 5h11 firmware. It won't work if you use another firmware. Browse and find the file. Afterwards, press the bottom right arrow again.

    Step Four:
There are four check boxes to select. They should be "Add Cydia", "Add Installer", and "Replace boot logos." Cydia and Installer are the applications you would use to download third-party applications. The "Replace boot logo" will make your iPod use the QuickPwn logo when turning on your iPod rather than the traditional metallic apple.

    Step Five:
Press the bottom right arrow button and be sure your ipod is plugged into your computer via USB.

    Step Six:
The directions are as listed in the window. When the text turns black, follow its instructions. First, hold the Home Button for 5 seconds. While still holding on, push the Power Button down for 10 seconds. Both buttons should be pressed. Release the power button and hold the home button for another 30 seconds. Generally, the jailbreaking process will start before that 30 seconds is up. After it down, you can release the button and wait for the jailbreaking process to finish. It generally takes 3 minutes for me.

http://www.quickpwn.com/ doesn't have the jailbreak downloads yet, so you'd have to get it off the dev team blog's site.

Why did you bump a three-month-old thread?

    1G stands for first-generation.
