so i updated itunes to 8.2 and put the 4th beta on my ipod. everything was dandy. then i tried to put 5 on there and im stuck on the PSOD. i downgraded itunes to 8.1.1 and when i DFU the ipod and try to put on 2.2.1, it works until the loading thing on the ipod appears. then it doesnt load any, itunens says preparing ipod for restore, and then the ipod finally goes back to the PSOD and itunes says "preparing ipod for restore" until i force quit. any ideas?

if you dont wanna waste time downgrading to 8.1.1, update ur ipod to beta 5 then go to 2.2.1. thats worked for me also

the most progress ive had after a full day of research, downloading, and failed restores was pwning a 2.2.1 and restoring. i got the pwnapple, then it did the whole apple with empty loading bar. followed by an error 1603.
youre right pwnd69. it may come to that, and that would suck

People. I must honestly say that, at this point, any PSODs suck, I agree, but can be lived with. They will be fixed along with 3.0 final. Just pay for it, and magically, it all works again. No PSOD issues, no anything. It'll work again with 3.0 final in June.
