My friend's iPod Touch 1G starts up showing the "Pineapple" logo and then the loading ring comes and then it reboots only to do this again.

    Any help?

I am unsure of which fw it is running on, though I think it may be 2.2 or 2.1 or something in the 2's.

Also it is jailbroken since the pineapple logo is there.

Please reply ASAP since he needs help.

Restart the device. (hold Home and sleep buttons down for 10 sec)

You might need to do a restore in iTunes, if that doesn't work

    DFU Shift-restore.

Like I said, not showing in iTunes since it doesn't fully boot up, just shuts and reboots.

Well, if Restarting it doesn't work, put it in DFU mode and restore.

Again, DFU mode then restore. That's the solution. The iPod doesn't start in DFU Mode. You just put it into DFU and then restore.
