It happened 5 days ago when my ipod stopped booting. I was using it and I had to leave somewhere so i left it on my counter. When i come back I use it for 5 minutes and it just turned off(this never happened before).I try to turn it on but it stays at the apple logo and 15-20 seconds it would turn off. The worst part is i can't get into DFU mode because my home button is stuck. So far the only three options I see are to

    1. Let the battery drain and hope for the best

    2. Any software to fix this.

    2. open the ipod and try to fix the home button. (last option)

Any suggestions to fix this? or is this the end for my ipod

Let it charge, by the looks of it you may just have a dead battery.

You can try iRecovery to kick it into recovery or dfu.

try this - Let your battery TOTALLY die. Like let it sit for at least 5 - 6 days. Then plug in and try again

I am on the same boat. My iPod is having a hard time booting and the home button don't work. My best bet is to buy the iPt4. Beside we were loyal to our devices. Time to frame it.

And Idk what other solution that could possibly work. I don't call it bricked or watered damaged but dead battery. (I though that would never happen.)
