Yeah well my ipod touch only holds about 800 songs instead of the advertised 1700 songs...

I have 7.08 gigs total capacity on my 1g
Only 800 songs and its about .30 from full
    141.3 mb of other stuff
    6.4mb apps

Also is there a way to save space on ipod touch? without having to do the select thing where you only sync selected files cause i want all my music, and AAC fails harsh

Also its on 3.0 non paid firmware

"Music capacity is based on 4 minutes per song and 128-Kbps AAC encoding; actual song capacity varies by encoding method and bit rate."

The fine print you'll find on every iPod tech-spec page.

Most people have music of a higher bitrate than 128, and of varying lengths. There's not much you can do except to reduce the quality of your music, which no one wants to do.

Fail now i will always have to worry about my music, and who ever though of converting to AAC is a retard... cause it doens't work it doubles the file size

And most of my music is near 192 and alot of my music is more than 5 minutes long which is like 10 mb... gah stupid me getting ipod touch instead of ipod classic, now i have to save up again and wait a coupe more years
