    Hi,

Does anyone know of a simple way to get music on a jailbroken 1.1.2 iPod touch to iTunes? I've tried endless programs, most of which cost more money than I'm willing to spend, and many of which don't even support the iPod touch. Even if there aren't any programs, I can always SSH into my iPod and get the music files out manually, if I can find where they are at.

Can anyone help me in my predicament?

i think you have to copy your iTunes_control folder off of your ipod using SSH and then drag it back into your iTunes library, i could be wrong tho, so id either wait for another reply or search the forums.

I tried searching. I didn't find anything useful. I'd sure appreciate a method to do this, though. It'd save me some grief if I could make sure I didn't lose my ~500 songs that I got from random friends that took me nearly a month to amass.

Yes, I did. It is a free trial, not freeware. I'm not willing to purchase the full version to save my music. A month of bumming music is cheaper than laying down 20 bucks for a few songs.

no no, you dont have buy anything at all.

like i said i think you have to ssh into your ipod, then go into ~/media/iTunes_control and then copy all the folders to your computer.

i think this is what your supposed to do but i dont want to mess up your iPod for you, just hang tight for a little bit, ill figure it out for you.

Hmm. This is going to take a little while.

SSHing a 4-gig folder probably isn't the best idea, especially when it takes an hour to download a 160 MB file to an iPod.

So I think I'm going to have to look for an easy program.

    Oh, hmm.

Apologies. Search didn't pick it up. I'm just used to using that.

    Thank you very much.
