I accidently dropped my ipod from like one and a half feet and it froze. I forced reboot it and it went into a boot loop. I have then tried multiple forced reboots and its still not working. Is there any easy way to fix this rather than restoring it?

I would be suprised if you could fix that with a restore. Sounds like you damaged the hardware. On the other hand, I use the metric system and 1.5 feet do not sound that high.

Its not that high. Maybe like from your knee to the ground depending on how tall your are.

I doubt you could break your iPod by dropping it half a metre (1.5 feet).
I've dropped it off my metre high desk a few times beore.

Hmm ok, that is really not that high. On the other hand, a restore only changes the software, so it will only help if the software somehow got messed up by the impact. What happened at the impact to mess up the software which did not harm the hardware? On the other hand, I surely would try a restore. One never knows. If you have any news, let us know. I am quite curious about the results.

In that case I would be pretty shocked if something happened to the hardware since I got a RebelTouch.

Wow, you REALLY think it could be damaged from half a metre while it's in a case?

Dropped mine from 3 feet without a case and it landed on a lip, on its screen then flipped and landed on its back. It was fine?

    Try to restore.
