Yea, I havnt had a successful normal boot with this semi jailbreak.

I applied the winterboard patch. Except I havnt been able to change permissions yet, as I have to wait until I get to school to download OpenSSH to I can.

My cydia is working, and installer is, its just I cant boot into normal kernal. It just sticks on the apple logo until I put it into DFU mode, and apply the patch using Decovery.

What exactly do I have to do to get this to work?

    Thanks

Did you download the new Cydia file? Or use the old XPwn one?

I have the same problem. Before I applied the Cydia patch, the Apple logo would flicker on and off. After I used it, the Apple logo just stays there forever. And I installed the Winterboard patch, gave all the plist files 644 permissions and the other one 755.

You answered your own question, you havent changed permissions. Your ipod will simply lock up on the logo.
