I have a jailbroken 1.1.4 iPod touch and I've recently been having problems with it. It will end up shutting off randomly and then I can't turn it back on. Sometimes when I push the power button, it will show the apple logo, then a white line will flash horizontally across the screen and the screen will shut off. Sometimes, this doesn't even happen, the screen will blink and go off. Its really hard to get it into restore mode too. But the werid thing is, the iPod will work fine for a day or two and then it will just starting doing the shut off thing. I've had to restore and jailbreak at least eight or nine times because of this. I don't know if it is because of it being jailbroken or that it was accidently dropped in a bit of water. =/

sounds like a hardware problem.... but might be the jailbreak part. how did you jailbreak it? also did you try DFU mode?

I used the new ZiPhone. DFU mode is sort of hard to get into as well, even if I use ZiPhone to do it.

    And mlbplayer456, I do restore, A LOT!

It seems pretty much like your battery is simply dieing. Charge it EVERY night over nigh and tell me what you get.

Well, then I'd restore and take it back to Apple.

Considering I got my iPod back in December, I don't think I could send it in.
