For some reason, taking screenshots doesn't work.
I'm aware that there are 3rd party methods of doing this, but I prefer the built in method.

Another problem I've been experiencing is that the text in some places is way off. I would post a screenshot, but as previously mentioned, that function is broken

Okay, let's start with the basics; are you pressing both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time?

My other guess would be restoring.

I don't really feel like restoring. More than likely, it would fix it but I'd rather find a solution that doesn't involve restoring it.

Play around with your Activator if it is installed. You probably screwed with something in there.

Yeah, you probably have either hold home or sleep set as something you don't remember.

Also, no I dont have activator and I haven't installed it at all since I restored back from 4.0. I even did a clean setup so I wouldn't get any leftover crap from 4.0.

Well, do both your home and sleep buttons work well? If you have trouble getting one to click sometimes, that would most likely be your problem.

The screen flashes and it makes the shutter sound when I press Home+Power.

No issues with either button, ever.
