Hey everyone, its been a while since i've been on here. Anyways,

I was updating my iPod 2G to the 4.1 firmware because of limera1n and iTunes got hung up on preparing iPod. Apparently drivers don't work because I went into device manager and the iPod (iBoot) was under "Other" with the yellow exclamation point. The only thing I've tried is to manually install the driver but there are two iPod symbols and the driver only installs for one.

Oh, by the way, my iPod is now stuck on connect to iTunes and it won't sooooo I would love help as fast as possible

I would delete the drivers (make sure to check the delete driver files box) and then try plugging in the ipod again. if that didn't work then check if the drivers are still deleted, and try again (sometimes the original drivers will stay for some reason). If your computer doesn't install the drivers I would suggest re-installing iTunes, just be sure to backup your library. Please get back to us weather or not it worked, so I don't constantly check this thread. XD

Try using a different USB cable, update iTunes to latest and restart your computer

I've removing the drivers like 10 times so I guess I'm down for a reinstall of iTunes. Fabulous, Apple is getting harder and harder to deal with.
