I use CuteFTP because that's the program that the iPod jailbreaker instructions recommended. I followed the instructions to the punctuation about the username and password and all of that, I connect my iPod via USB and then go went through and copied the iPod's IP Address into CuteFTP and entered the Username and Password and set it to port 21, but it refuses to connect each time I hit connect. It just gives me an error message saying:

The Connection failed sue to an error or timeout.
    1) Please verify that the destination host name or IP address is correct
    2) Increase the connection timeout threshold under Global Settings | Connection.
    3) Switch to the opposite data connection type (PASV or PORT) under Site Settings | Type tab.

Now, I have no experience with any FTP clients prior to this, so if I am doing anything wrong, please tell me.

Sorry if this is a stupid mistake or anything.

Ok, now that it is connected (Thanks for the help!) I don't know how to install applications on the iPod using the client. The .app files that are just found on websites, and not through installer. How would I go about installing those correctly through my FTP Client?
