I tried to see if it wasn't just apps, but I could sync movies fine. I tried to sync AIM, and it just rebooted on me each of the three times I tried. I'm on a jailbroken 2.1

Hmm. Simplest way to fix that is to just restore to 2.1.

I don't know if XP will allow me to jailbreak again.

Did you try just downloading AIM via the wireless App Store?

This happened to me when I was running a 2.0.2 kernel with 2.1, but I've never heard of anyone else having this problem.
Why wouldn't XP allow you to restore?

I think this is caused by the number of apps that you have. The iPod will not allow you to have more than 144 applications, otherwise, it will delete the other ones... This causes a respring. It happened to me too. But I counted my apps, yes, I acutally counted them, and it seems that everytime I have more than 144 apps, it resprings.

I think 144 is the magic number because it is the max number of apps your iPod can hold, 9 pages * 16 apps per page = 9 * 16 = 144

Just my theory. Can anyone back it up???

I have 2 1/2 pages of apps. And, XP doesn't like my iPods drivers.
