I was syncing a video onto my ipod using "manually manage music", and when I unplugged my touch, it said "No Music found". So i reconnected it to my computer and then iTunes said "iTunes cannot read the contents of your ipod please go to the summary tab in iTunes and click restore to restore this ipod to factory settings."
I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO RESTORE!!! I can still access my iPod through SSH but iTunes does not detect it.
    What can i do?

If You can SSH save your Applications file, and your fine, then just restore to your version not 1.1.3, and your safe

    I Didn't Have To Restore!

I figured it out; the problem was that iTunes wouldn't detect my iPod. But I could still log into SSH. So i deleted all my music and the mobilemusicplayer.app thru ssh. I reconnected to iTunes and it didn't say I have to restore!! The only downside of the situation is that I have to put all the other music and videos from my friend's computer back to onto my iPod. But i didn't have to restore!!
    Thanks for everyone's help
